This piece is a response to the natural disasters that occurred in Japan in 2011. The placement of the world as the circle of the Japanese flag is a statement of the fact that the disasters are not isolated to Japan but will effect the rest of the world. The world cannot turn a blind eye to the social, environmental and cultural ramifications of this year's events.
